Warranty & Claims Policy

This Warranty & Claims Policy explains the general warranty and claims procedures for products supplied by Nanjing Leading Auto Technology Co., Ltd. (“Leading Auto”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
This policy applies to B2B customers unless different warranty terms are specifically agreed in a quotation, proforma invoice, purchase order, sales contract or other written agreement.
1. Scope
Leading Auto supplies automotive engine parts and related components to distributors, importers, wholesalers, engine rebuilders, repair networks and other professional B2B customers.
Products may include:
- Bare engines
- Long blocks
- Short blocks
- Cylinder heads
- Cylinder blocks
- Crankshafts
- Camshafts
- Connecting rods
- Turbochargers
- Timing kits
- Engine overhaul kits
- Related engine components
Warranty terms may vary according to product type, order specification and agreed commercial terms.
2. Warranty Basis
Warranty coverage is based on the product being:
- Correctly identified before order confirmation
- Used for the intended application
- Installed professionally
- Operated under normal conditions
- Properly maintained
- Used with suitable lubricants, coolant and related components
Warranty coverage does not replace the customer’s responsibility to verify engine code, OE number, application and installation requirements before use.
3. Fitment Verification
Customers should provide accurate fitment information before ordering.
This may include:
- Engine code
- OE number
- Vehicle model
- Production year
- VIN where applicable
- Product photos
- Existing part reference
- Destination market
If incorrect or incomplete information is provided, warranty coverage may not apply to problems caused by incorrect fitment or application.
4. Inspection Upon Receipt
Customers should inspect products promptly after delivery.
Before installation, please check:
- Packaging condition
- Product model
- Engine code
- OE reference
- Visible damage
- Missing parts
- Product configuration
- Shipping damage
If visible damage, wrong items or missing quantities are found, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide supporting evidence.
Products should not be installed if there is an obvious mismatch or visible damage.
5. Installation Requirements
Installation should be performed by qualified technicians or professional engine rebuilders.
Before installation, customers should verify:
- Correct product application
- Lubrication system condition
- Cooling system condition
- Oil pressure
- Oil passages
- Cooling passages
- Timing system
- Fuel system
- Related engine components
- Fastener torque requirements
- Cleanliness of mating surfaces
Failure of surrounding systems may damage a newly installed engine component.
6. Warranty Exclusions
Warranty generally does not cover damage caused by:
- Incorrect installation
- Incorrect application
- Wrong engine code or OE selection
- Overheating
- Lubrication failure
- Oil starvation
- Contaminated oil
- Cooling system failure
- Timing system failure
- Fuel system malfunction
- Improper assembly
- Improper torque
- Unauthorized modification
- Racing or abnormal use
- Accident
- External impact
- Improper storage
- Corrosion caused by unsuitable storage
- Continued operation after a fault becomes apparent
Normal wear and consumable items may also be excluded unless otherwise agreed.
7. Bare Engines, Short Blocks and Long Blocks
For bare engines, short blocks and long blocks, the installer should confirm that all related systems are in proper condition before installation.
Special attention should be given to:
- Oil pump
- Oil passages
- Cooling system
- Timing components
- Sensors
- Fuel delivery
- Intake and exhaust systems
- Turbocharger where applicable
Damage caused by failure of external components may not be covered.
8. Cylinder Heads
Before installing a cylinder head, please verify:
- Correct engine application
- Gasket compatibility
- Surface condition
- Cooling passages
- Valve train condition
- Timing components
- Torque sequence and specifications
Damage caused by overheating, incorrect torque or external engine-system failure may not be covered.
9. Crankshafts and Camshafts
For crankshafts and camshafts, installation should include proper inspection of related components.
This may include:
- Bearings
- Journals
- Oil passages
- Connecting rods
- Cylinder block condition
- Lubrication system
- Timing components
Incorrect clearances or lubrication failure may result in damage that is not covered by warranty.
10. Turbochargers
Turbocharger installation should include inspection of:
- Oil supply
- Oil return
- Air intake
- Exhaust system
- Intercooler
- Crankcase ventilation
- Foreign-object contamination
Turbocharger damage caused by oil starvation, contamination or foreign objects may not be covered.
11. How to Submit a Claim
If you believe a product has a quality issue, please contact Leading Auto and provide:
- Customer/company name
- Order number or invoice number
- Product name
- Engine code
- OE number
- Quantity affected
- Date received
- Date installed
- Description of the issue
Please provide supporting evidence where reasonably available.
12. Required Evidence
Depending on the claim, we may request:
- Product photos
- Product label photos
- Packaging photos
- Installation photos
- Videos
- Failure-area photos
- Engine code or OE number
- Inspection report
- Measurements
- Diagnostic results
- Oil condition information
- Maintenance records
For engine-related claims, additional evidence may be necessary to determine whether the issue is related to the supplied product or another vehicle system.
13. Do Not Disassemble Before Confirmation
For major warranty claims, customers should contact us before extensive disassembly, modification or disposal of the product whenever reasonably possible.
Unauthorized disassembly may make it difficult to identify the cause of failure.
If disassembly is necessary for diagnosis, please document the process with photos or video.
14. Claim Review
After receiving the required information, our team will review the claim.
The review may include:
- Order verification
- Product specification confirmation
- Fitment verification
- Photo/video review
- Technical analysis
- Supplier or production-partner review
- Inspection of returned parts where necessary
Additional information may be requested during the review.
15. Claim Resolution
If a claim is confirmed as a product quality issue, possible solutions may include:
- Replacement parts
- Replacement product
- Credit toward a future order
- Partial refund
- Other mutually agreed solution
The appropriate solution will depend on:
- Product category
- Nature of the issue
- Quantity affected
- Available evidence
- Commercial agreement
16. Labor and Related Costs
Unless specifically agreed in writing, warranty coverage generally applies to the supplied product itself.
Labor costs, installation costs, towing, vehicle downtime, lost profits and other indirect costs are not automatically included in warranty coverage.
Any such costs must be specifically agreed in writing.
17. Return Authorization
Do not return products without prior written authorization.
If a return is required, we will provide instructions regarding:
- Return address
- Packaging
- Documentation
- Shipping arrangements
Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.
18. Shipping Damage
If products are damaged during transportation, please:
- Photograph the outer packaging
- Photograph the damaged area
- Record the condition upon receipt
- Keep the packaging
- Notify the carrier where applicable
- Contact Leading Auto promptly
Shipping claims may require evidence for the carrier or freight forwarder.
19. Customized and Special-Order Products
Customized, private-label or special-order products may be subject to different warranty or return conditions.
These conditions should be confirmed before order placement.
20. Warranty Period
Warranty periods may vary by product category and order.
The applicable warranty period will be based on:
- Quotation
- Proforma invoice
- Sales agreement
- Product specification
- Written confirmation
If no specific warranty period is stated, please contact us for confirmation before ordering.
21. Fraudulent or Unsupported Claims
Claims must be supported by reasonable evidence.
Leading Auto reserves the right to reject claims that involve:
- Inconsistent product information
- Unrelated products
- Missing identification
- Intentional misuse
- Altered evidence
- Unsupported allegations
22. Technical Cooperation
Our goal is to resolve legitimate product issues efficiently.
Customers are encouraged to cooperate with technical checks and provide clear information so that the cause of the issue can be identified accurately.
23. Relationship With Other Terms
This Warranty & Claims Policy should be read together with our:

- Order-specific commercial documents
If an order-specific written agreement provides different warranty terms, the order-specific agreement will take priority.
